Kate Roessler has become a vital part of Standing Rock Ambulance and a trusted partner in regional EMS collaboration, bringing energy, leadership, and a patient‑centered focus to every effort.
As Haden Merkel shared, “Kate works for Standing Rock Ambulance and has been a huge asset to the team there and our region as a whole.” Her passion for EMS began early. “She fell in love with EMS in high school and has always put on amazing EMS Week activities for her community, encouraging others to join and be involved in EMS.”
When opportunities for regional collaboration emerged, Kate was quick to step forward. “When the opportunity came up to work together regionally, Kate jumped at the chance,” Haden noted. She went on to “offer wonderful insights, take the lead on ideas and processes for the regional traveling equipment program, and work quickly and flexibly to place the good of her patients at the center of the project.”
Kate’s collaborative style makes her a valued partner across agencies. As Haden reflected, “She has been a pleasure to work with, a natural leader and easy person to reach out to about collaborative efforts.” Her “unflagging energy in this work is an inspiration to everyone around her.”
